Review: Fate by Audrey Carlan

Fate (Trinity Series #5)
by Audrey Carlan
Release Date: 22nd August
Genre: Contemporary Romance

Not many can say they were burned by fate. I’m the exception.

Scalded figuratively, emotionally, and physically… I have the scars running down my arm, ribs, and side to prove it.

The doctors have done what they can to heal me by smoothing the abraded skin using other parts of my body. But they can only do so much. Sometimes, what can’t be seen can’t be healed.

The fire that night took more than a pound of flesh. It obliterated my talent, beauty, and most importantly, seared the connection I had with the man I loved. Sure, it was me who pushed him away, but I had my reasons. I did what any woman would do in my situation. I gave up everything so that one day he’d find happiness and peace.

Now I’ve healed a bit on the outside, and on the inside, but I still crave the one I let go. To this day he looks at me with fire in his eyes, a heat so bright in his being he glows with it. I fear the light, the flames that could consume me whole. The problem now is, he’s not mine anymore. I just may have waited too long to fight for him, for us, for a future together.

There’s only one thing I can do. Let fate decide.

Fate is the fifth book of Trinity series by the best seller author, Audrey Carlan. This book is a sequel of Life that you can check the review right here. The last book of this series has a closure with all your characters and not just the main ones, Kathleen (Kat) and Carson.

Kathleen is also a survivor. A character that got scars inside and out. In consequence by a certain incident, she’s not the same as before. Rejected your boyfriend, - even though she didn’t want to do it -, Carson and followed her life.

On the other hand, Carson never forgot Kat, the incident didn’t make him thinking like your girlfriend, he felt rejected, but fought so hard to have her back into his arms. Unsuccessful, he over with a mysterious girl, and from there many events consolidated, putting both characters (Kat and Carson) into a trust line from the beginning to the end, leaving you with a desire to know what’s coming next.

Audrey Carlan in your last journey at Trinity series make us fall in love by your writing (like always) and for your characters, that became a family to the readers. I believe she couldn’t ended this story better, all the soul sisters had your stories told, we supported them and they touched us all. A true story with friendship, love and not just this, it was a story by a big family which just turned so strong by the true feelings and the hell they've gone through.

It was really hard to not cry while I was writing this review, ‘cause I really felt in love by the characters and by the story and I’m so happy this series will release here in Brazil and you all will be able to share the love too. This book inspired me and took me back to writing from a huge mind blocked.

Thank you so much, Audrey.

Obrigada.

My rating: 5/5
